Drake's real goal for new music

If you're reading this Drake, let us know...

Or maybe not, Drake's 4th mix tape just dropped last Thursday and it seems to be the only thing people can tweet about (other than Amber Rose on Tyga & Kylie). This mix tape even includes a diss to Tyga, and a feel to his Nothing Was the Same album with a heavy reference of the 6 (Toronto).

In "6pm in New York", new song from the mix tape, is where Drake takes shots at Tyga...
“I heard the lil’ lil’ homie talking reckless in VIBE/ That’s quite a platform you chose / you should have kept it inside,” Drake is referring to his VIBE interview where Tyga states he doesn't like Drake, but does like his music. Oh but he doesn't end there, rapping another verse “Oh you tried, so childish / calling my name on a world stage / You need to act your age / and not your girl’s age,” speaking on 17 year old Kylie.

Now what many people are trying to understand is whether this project is a mix tape or an album. because it had no promotion, 17 tracks (more than a regular mix tape), and it is on iTunes for 12.99. Aren't mix tapes free?

Mix tapes are used to promote local fame, attract new fans, collaborating with bigger artist easy to download online. But Drake had different goals for this piece of work because he is one of the biggest rappers in the game right now.

So what did Drake want to state with this new music?
